Change is something I have always welcomed. Heading back to school next week I am feeling refreshed, invigorated and ready to try something new. I am feeling ready to shift my teaching and give more control over to the young students I work with. Change is something that moves me forward even if I have to take a few steps back along the way. I look forward to this new challenge with portfolios and the integration of the technology to transform student documentation, reflection and communication of learning.
Although I consider myself tech savvy this course gave me more confidence to experience and experiment with these tools in new ways. I have developed a greater understanding of the inter-connectedness of the Google environment and it's capabilities as a tool for transforming learning. With my new comfort level and knowledge with these tools I am hoping that my improved digital literacy will transfer to the students and create a process that is based on mutual learning, collaboration and communication of second grade life!
